Wenday Dawwn Cooper is a Council Bluffs resident who has served her community as a long-time social worker and college professor. In addition to operating Wenday’s Cupcakes & Culinary Adventures, Wenday teaches at Iowa Western Community College for the human services, counseling and addictive studies programs. Wenday is passionate about teaching individuals the art of “being human” through her classes at Iowa Western and classes that she offers to the public. Wenday chose to pursue her passion of empowering others and teaching self-love and creative expression through food at her boutique, Wenday’s Kitchen Boutique, for two years and made many wonderful friends. She learned a great deal by operating a popular coffee and food boutique. The hustle and bustle of the boutique was left behind in March of 2022 when Wenday took her craft to her peaceful home-based bakery, where she creates beautiful and artful expressions to those who order her cakes, cupcakes, and various decadent desserts. Wenday also travels around the Midwest, teaching spiritual-based seminars, culinary classes, and is a guest presenter at many local vineyards, breweries, corporate meetings, and at local venues. You can also find Wenday at local farmer’s markets and at people’s homes, taking over their kitchens or entertaining guests at those extra adventurous social gatherings. Wenday is happily married, has two grown sons, and is a fun loving, gypsy-soul kind of grandma to four darling granddaughters. When Wenday is not serving the public you may see her walking through a field of wildflowers, holding Jesus's hand and talking about life or spending time in Pensacola, Florida, where she walked the shores of the sea with her Savior and soaked up His love…the love that she now feely gives to all that she encounters.
